This is a familiar Galaxy far away. But it is long before Luke destroyed the Emperor with his Father, long before Anakin fell to the Dark Side due to Palpatine's plans.
Long before Sidious' schemes were put into play -- Yes, even long before even Yoda became a Jedi. This is the time of the Old Republic...
The time of Darth Revan, and the Sith Emperor that had twisted him into such. He attempted to slay the Emperor alone. And he failed. He was not granted death, instead he was imprisoned.
He was freed by the Jedi. And so he set out for the Foundry, a facility that could create an army of Exterminator Droids, with the function to eliminate all Sith. This was a problem for many. A small squad was sent into the Foundry to eliminate Revan and the Foundry.
They encountered Revan's assassination Droid, HK-47, which they destroyed. And then they continued into Revan's Chamber. So the encounter begins...

That HK Unit you destroyed... He waited loyally for three hundred years. I can rebuild him. But it won't be the same.
The man known as Revan stated as he stood up, turning to face the group.

Revan took out a mask, he put it on, and he took out a Lightsaber, igniting it. A purple blade rushed forth.

Think what you want! It doesn't matter, I saved the Republic twice before. I fought Mandalores and armies of the Dark Side, you won't stop me!
Darth Revan took stance. And the fight ensued, alas... Darth Revan had weakened over the centuries, he was no match for the Squad sent to kill him.
Grievously injured, he made a final effort, he slammed the area around him with a powerful shockwave of the Force. Sending the squad flying back. They soon regained their stance.
Revan stood with a barrier surrounding him as he spoke once more...
And in the end, as the Darkness takes me... I am nothing... I know now how you felt, old friend...
The squad rushed for him once more, he lifted off of the ground, a powerful light emanating from him. And then a strong explosion came from him. The squad was thrown from the platform, into the abyss. And Revan... He simply vanished.
A New Era began. The Sith Academy of Korriban. Their new recruits came from Slaves, more or less. They were put on Shuttles and shipped to Korriban, for labor, and for training. Anyone who was Force Sensitive was immediately put into Training.
A Force Sensitive Slave was in one such Shuttle to Korriban. Likely with others...
