"Man... Life has gotten so tiring, lately. Where to start...
This girl. Haruhi Suzumiya. One day, she stood up in class and exclaimed "If there are any Aliens, Espers, Time Travelers, or other remarkable beings, please stand and join me!". And then she simply waited. At that point in time, I could only stare at her. Much like the rest of the class did.
Over the course of the next few days, we spoke. And then she formed a club... And she dragged me along to join it. Soon enough, other members joined as well.
Yuki Nagato is one of them. She's a quiet girl that reads books all the time. It's a little difficult to hold a conversation with her. She's easily the most independent of the group... She saved my life once. She took something that would have killed me, and forced it on her body instead... You wouldn't guess it by just looking at her. But she is in fact, an Alien.
The next member is Mikuru Asahina. She's a very shy girl that was forced to join against her will. Haruhi often forces her into awkward scenarios, such as wearing maid outfits, bunnysuits, so on, and so forth.... You'd think that she just has bad luck. But she is a Time Traveler.
The other notable member is Itsuki Koizumi. This man unsettles me. It's something in the way he acts carefree, and that devilish smirk of his. He's excessively polite. He was brought into the club by Haruhi because she believed he fit the idea of a "Mysterious Transfer Student". Noticing a pattern here? If you aren't, then I'll tell you. He's an Esper.
These three Members have something in common. They all believe that they were brought here by Haruhi's Will. They are investigating the matter, and one of their theories is that Haruhi is God.
Oh, I forgot one other member. Me. 'Kyon', as I'm often called. I know, you're probably expecting me to be something special now, right? But I'm really not. I'm a Human. Like everyone else.
Haruhi seems to be absent today... Said something about finding new members. That girl... Honestly..."
Kyon rubbed his forehead. Already he could tell it was going to be another in a series of very long days.
