Neptunia: CPUs Awakened!

It's been a few months in the land of Gamindustri since a historical change occurred. The Four CPUs, Neptune of Planeptune, Noire of Lastation, Vert of Leanbox, and Blanc of Lowee all singed a peace treaty, stating that their timeless war would be no more. Months of peace have been had, and any real threats have been easily stomped out by the four, with their focus now on keeping peace.

Though a new issue has come along, many are starting to wonder if the CPUs are really wholly safe fighting alone, the masses are calling for guardians to them. CPU Guardians. That's...Where I come along in the story. I uh...Am not really that strong, nor am I actually there to be a guardian. I've instead just come to see who Planeptune chooses as the CPU Guardian. There are a lot of people, and many are probably just watching like me.

I wouldn't really try. I mean, I don't stand a chance! No one even knows what the CPU has in store for them, it could be a trial, or a battle against her, or even more than that. And this is just Planeptune, the other four nations are doing this too! Hopefully they all find someone worthy, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Of course, I'm one of the hopefuls to become a CPU Guardian. Not because I'm particularly strong, but because... Well, all of them are cute. Yes. Maybe I can learn how to fight and if things don't pan out into a relationship there, maybe I'll learn what I need in any case. I understand the selfishness of this.

Worth it. I look over at Alex. "Thinking about it, kinda amazing that they're all gathering here. What do you think is going to happen?", I ask. After that, the crowd seems to grow a little more restless as attention is drawn to the stage. Why is that? Because one of the CPUs just appeared! A candidate in tow. They had purple hair, so it was clear to tell that this was Neptune and Nepgear.

"Pheeewww... Nepgear, couldn't you handle this?", the older sister would ask the younger of the siblings. "M-... Me? But you're the CPU here... Come on, it won't be hard, Neptune! We'll just follow the instructions they prepared and-", Nepgear was soon cut off, however.

"Boooooring~! We're going to do this my way, then! Now...", Neptune would hop up to a higher platform, squinting her eyes and scanning through the crowd... Eventually, she'd point out at someone. "You! You're the Guardian now!", she'd then proclaim.

"Eh?! W-... Who did you pick? It's hard to tell...", Nepgear protested. Neptune just humphed a little and then motioned for the crowd to make way, hopping down and walking right towards her target!
