CPs Buying AKA Burning Money

So, today, Me and Mum did some running around today.

Since Amord suggested Dark Souls yestorday, I decided to buy it. At the Flea Market, A guy (Whom I kinda know, sells sorts of games. Discounting Sega games) Was selling Dark Souls for ten bucks. At gamestop, they sell it for thirty four.

FYI, name of a store... I bought me a Hell Girl Season 1, which costed me 30 bucks. At Gamestop, I bought Halo ODHD and Dead Space, costing me 31 bucks. (I own Pro, so I get games a few bucks cheaper)

Total, I burned 70.64 dollars. Yuuppp, Lay off the spendings, girl... I just called myself a girl

Ah Dark Souls, you're sure to have a fun, yet very difficult time with that one.

If you require strategies for bosses, what equipment would be good to use, so on and so forth, don't hesitate to ask.

Right now, the Xbox is not in my room. But after it is, Im going to test if Dark Souls work, play it, and watch Hell Girl

K, it works. Just one question, does lighting camp fires saves my game?

Another thing, Skeletons is a ass. But it seems I was going in the wrong direction. There was another path with Zombies)

Every action you do from collecting souls, picking up an item, going into your inventory [even if you don't use anything] and lighting a camp fire saves your game automatically, you can see as such by the 'flame' symbol on the screen.

However, do take the time to light a camp fire and rest at it if it's near the area you are currently exploring, it acts as a checkpoint, so if you die, you spawn back there.

I have no bloody clue when I can level up. Im getting tired of being slain by that damn bird guy (At the top of the Zombie Tower. I need more health potions before facing him, or I'm screwed.

Dont say anything about dodging, my chsracter is a knight, so she isnt that fast to begin with)

Leveling can be done at a Bonfire. Also, your character isn't fast at dodging because of being encumbered by equipment. In order to have fast movement and rolling, you must have a total weight equal to or lower than 25% of your total. Above 25% and at 50% gives you medium speed, above 50% to 100% makes you unbearably slow. Over 100% makes you unable to run or dodge.

You need to level your Endurance to increase your Encumber Rating. Plus, it will give you more Stamina, the valuable resource for attacking. For the record, your Stamina caps at Endurance 40, any more than that is up to you, but it's a golden rule that every class uses Stamina, so Endurance is a given.

You can also increase your Equip Burden by wearing certain rings, such as: Havel's Ring, Ring of Favor and Protection. There's also a headgear which you can wear: Mask of the Father.

If you're at 50% burden, you can get the Dark Wood Grain Ring, allowing you to utilize unhindered movement speed.

EDIT: Bird Guy? It's not the guy in black robes at the top of the Bell Tower, is it? He's not a hostile NPC. Or are you referring to the Gargoyle Boss Fight?

I pretty much gave up. I'll play it tomorrow, but I couldnt stand dying everytime. Im not sure when my character can level up (As I cant during a bonfire)

One reason, I can only go to one place without being killed so easily. However, I'll still need health potions, or during the boss, Im a gonner.

I told you it was insanely difficult. And you should be able to level when resting at a bonfire. You need souls to do so. Also, you get more Estus Flasks [Potions] when you rest at the Bonfire.

You get 10 if there is a Firekeeper present. Later on you can kindle the Bonfires to receive up to 20 Estus Flasks at one time.

Check again, there should be an option labeled "Level Up" when you activate a Bonfire. When you click that, use the d-pad to select which stat you want to increase, you need Souls to increase your stats, and thus, increase your level.

Who is this "Bird Guy"? Describe him in greater detail to me. Is he the same height as a Human, is he larger? etc, I need details.

Im not sure how much souls I need, Im LVL 6, same level where I came from.

The bird guy is the same height as the Asylum Demon, only he has feathers and wings.

Since I dont have any Humanity, I cant kindle.

It should tell you how many Souls you need when you move over a stat you want to increase.

Yeah, you'll get Humanity later, it's dropped on death with your souls, thankfully, you can pick them up from your bloodstain, if I recall correctly. But if you use Humanity and then die, that Humanity you used is gone.

Not exactly. He has a big hammer, I think He has wings. Its after when you reach the top of the tower. Plus, two zombie archers you cant kill.

Ooooh, you're going up against the Taurus Demon. You can kill those Archers by the way, just as you enter the bridge to fight him, immediately look to your right, you should see a ladder, you can climb up it and deal with those bastards.

Those 'Item' Souls can be used, giving you a quantity of Souls based on the quality of it. The miscellaneous ones are safe to use, HOWEVER, when you get a soul from a Demon, make sure to never ever use it, unless you want to forfeit the item[s] that can be made from the Demon's Soul. Personally, I'd save the 'Item' Souls for a rough spot.

Yeah... thats him. I can handle him, personally, if I was given a bonfire before the fight. But still, he deals a lot of damage alone, so I need to go through some grinding first. Im not sure if Attack raises by its own.

Here you go. That should give you the tips you need to beat him.

Oh, I never noticed the ladders. If they added a random item near the ladder, I might have discovered it. Now, the boss looks easy. However, I dont know how to preform a jump attack *Hince jump attack, I thought your character preforms a uppercut*

You just run off the edge [preferably when there's ground and an enemy below you] and then you activate the strong attack button, I believe.

Make sure not to take too long in jumping down, the Taurus Demon can jump up there.

Now another question: How do I harm ghosts? Because in the Ruins, ghost ladies *Whom are scary* is invernable to my attacks

That's entirely the wrong direction if you're encountering the Ghosts, that's end-game territory. There should be a Bonfire in a tower before the Taurus Demon, you should have been to it already, there should be a bunch of platforms, and stairs/bridges connecting them.

On one of the far platforms, there should be some clutter that you can smash out of the way, you can then go down in the right direction -- Be careful! You'll come across enemies with poisoned blades [I think] and hellhounds, they're easy to deal with if you are careful.

Now, you'll eventually come to another 'Boss Fog'. Be EXTREMELY careful here. The Boss is a Capra Demon, and he has two of the hellhounds helping him.

Here's a video of the fight with the Capra Demon, in case you need help with him. After dealing with him, you should eventually come to a Sewer Area. This is the right direction to get to the second bell. But make sure to go for the top [first] bell before that one.
