An interesting Dream

So I was sleeping as always, and then I had a truly interesting dream that wasn't entirely random.

I was playing an RPG, it had "retro" gameplay as far as the world map and so on went. And then it used a Visual Novel style for it's cutscenes and storytelling.

The premise, as far as I could grasp, seemed to revolve around a male lead and he was trying to accomplish a few goals; the first, overcome his current obstacles. Second, find his old friends. And the third, discover what happened to the girl that he can never seem to find.

At some point in the game's story. The girl's appearance changes. I believe it was Tenshi of Touhou. Other characters such as Kanako, Suwako, and Iku appear in the character's true memories.

I didn't find out what happens after this. But I recall seeing a visual novel piece of a scene where one is looking up in a point of view perspective in blurred vision at Reimu.

Was one odd dream, but damn. It was a good one.

Sounds interesting. Perhaps you were dreaming of some kind of Touhou RPG/Visual Novel?

That seems to be the case, yes.

Now that I think about it. That would be pretty fun.

Especially if you get some lovy-lovy from the Touhous

It was implied that the guy kinda had a relationship going on with Tenshi, until she had to leave to Gensokyo at some point. Leaving the guy to fend for himself with the memories eventually no longer being affected by the illusions that had to be put in place.

My guess is, that would probably come in at the second half of the game.

Too bad I couldn't make a game. That plot sounds awesome

I'd be tempted to make it as well. But the visual novel part kinda made it unique. And I can't draw that good.

It's one of those awesome ideas that may never be made into a real game.... But hey, we can RP about it. xD

Maybe this is true events, like my Touhou dream where I was in the SDM. Remilia, or Yukari, Told me "Its not my time" I wanted to stay... but she kept on saying "Its not your time"

Not to be a downer, but that doesn't make much sense here. This is in the style of game, so it would be difficult to be true events...

Unless you want to debate the fact that illusions were used, and thus, the dream was still slightly affected by that.

I do believe dreams can interact with your pass memories, like mine. My case was, I was at the SDM (Outside world, if the Border is destroyed) After talking with Flandre (Or walking around the SDM) I entered a game state. Either Mario Kart or Donkey Kong.

In the middle of your game dream, you must have encountered a different dream, dreaming about you and Touhou. Unless, your still dreaming with Game Mechanics.

I dont know, sometimes I dream about my future.

The entire thing was in the style of a game that was described in the post. Touhou found it's way in, for some reason.

Even the bit with Reimu was in the style of a Visual Novel.

Plus there was the fact that Tenshi's illusion appearance was Yuki Nagato from Haruhi. Pretty sure that means it was just a very interesting dream.

Yeah, I guess. I always wanted a Touhou dream.

I want to go to Gensokyo, I dreamt of Reisen. She was in a crowd and I triec to locate her.

Flandre asked me a question about my soul. Then Donkey Kong game mechanics kicked in.

Gensokyo had hers Border taken down, outside humans found the place. They demanded that they wanted the SDM to be torn down. Somehow, I bought it. (I also cried about the horror of the SDM being torn down) Then, Mario Kart started to play. Sonic was a playable character.

There was that other SDM dream, where Yukari or Remilia told me "Its not your time"

Nightmare with my Touhou plush. It was scary...

And... That one dream where I looked up Alice Margatroids dress. It was a Male Cosplayer (Yikes)

This is the one and only Touhou Dream I've had.

I'd like to have more. But I probably won't, not anytime soon, anyway.

If only I could Lucid dream, I would always have Touhiu dreams.

Boy, would I have a lot of love affairs

Someone needs to invent the technology where we can shape a virtual world with our mind. It wouldn't be the "real Gensokyo". But... It'd be something, at least.

Your looking at years in the future. But right now, we have to create it with RPs, Fantasies, or using a PC.

If I lucid dream, First I'll date Reimu... Then Marisa, then Alice. My sex person of choice is Reisen Inaba, Then Reimu, Marisa, and Alice.

I'm anticipating the day where a virtual reality tool is made.

And then I'm anticipating the day when a Touhou 'mod' is released for it.

Yes, but you need to be in Japan for the mod (If it cant connect to intertens)
