Today I'm here to talk about Chulip. A Game on the PS2. Chulip is an Adventure/Simulation and Puzzle/Strategy Game. There's a fairly simple goal in mind for the game; it opens with your character -- You give him a name yourself -- having a dream about kissing a girl -- Also named by you --, and from then on, the goal of the game is to turn that dream into a reality.
So your character and his Father arrive in Long Life Town. Supposedly coming from far west, passed the big city. Your family is poor, and the rent comes in at 9000 zenni. But, there's some good news. The girl of your dreams just so happens to be living right next door.
But the twist is, your character's heart is not strong enough yet; your love is weak, and immature. So how does one go about fixing this? Well, you need to practice, become more experienced! So the goal is to kiss NPCs in the game. It's not as simple as it sounds, you need the right time for it. Simply walking up and trying to get the kiss off the bat will usually result in you getting slapped silly.
And if your character suffers too much heartbreak, it's game over. Fortunately, as you successfully get more kisses, your heart does indeed strengthen. And it all culminates in a love letter to the girl of your dreams to win her heart over. It's a game that's very light-hearted, and entertaining.
I also bring this up because, c'mon. Touhou version would be perfect. You fix up a few details, got an Outsider and his Family coming to Gensokyo, settling in the Human Village, and then the girl of your dreams is one of the Gensokyo Residents, and in order to win her heart, you have to get more experienced by kissing the other girls first.
And that's Chulip.
