Fate/Extra Stat Guide!

This is mostly something I wanted to do just for fun. I've been heavily thinking over playing Fate/Extra again, and I want to know when it would pay off to start increasing stats.

According to a post I found on Gamefaqs, here is how the ranking works:

26 - D
52 - C
77- B
103 - A
128 - A+
193 - A++
255 - EX

You get 3 SP for level... We shall see if this is accurate or not. Because I want to play Fate/Extra so bad again.

26 - D Rank CONFIRMED
52 - C Rank CONFIRMED

Off to a good start.

Interesting to note, you get 3 SP. But each point is worth 2 when you're actually upgrading. For this purpose... You're essentially getting 6 Stat Points. Useful if you're focusing on one stat.

As I am for Saber. EX Strength, here I come!

78 - B Rank CONFIRMED

You can reach this as early as Level 12, which you will be right on top of reaching if you take the time to unlock each enemy's pattern in Arena Floor 1 & 2. Which is highly recommended if you plan to do New Game +.

Of course, to reach a B Rank right at the very start, you have to be focusing on one stat alone. This is best done with Saber, as increasing her Strength so high makes her hit like a Steamroller dropped from orbit.

Yesss... Carrying over enemy patterns is delicious. It makes battles so much more fun. You still have to level up, of course. But it goes by quicker when you don't have guess work.

104 - A Rank CONFIRMED

So you end up the perfect level just by fighting the enemies repeatedly until their pattern is fully, completely revealed. And Saber is, as always, awesome for this.

The strongest enemy only lasts through four hits when her Strength is at a B Rank. Sometimes they're down in three. And as your Strength soars ever higher... Well. It just gets even easier.

I think it's possible to reach an A+ just in the Second Week. Consider just how powerful that is. When you spread everything out, you'll maybe hit an average of B and C Ranks.

128 - A+ Rank CONFIRMED

It is entirely possible to reach this Rank within the second week. It does take some grinding, however. The earliest level, if you pool all your points into a single stat, is 20 (with Saber).

Just consider that, though. With the likes of Saber, and by increasing Strength... There are only two steps higher. And this is early into the game.

And if you keep up the task of unlocking all enemy patterns... Well, I think it's possible to hit EX pretty fast.

192 - A++ Rank CONFIRMED

Phew. The earliest you can hit this is Level 31... And as always, that's pouring every last stat point you have into a single stat.

If my calculations are correct. You can hit EX at Level 41.

This means you can get two stats up to EX, you'll need to be Level 81, I think. Maybe 82.

This would be most awesome with Saber, as that would give you EX Strength, and EX Defense.

Not only would you have ridiculous damage, but you'd barely flinch when it comes to enemy damage. After that you can freely increase whatever stat you want. Strength and Defense are most important for Saber, though.

Another bit of fun trivia about Fate/Extra... It seems to take the defeat of five of the same type of enemy in order to get "Info" about them, which just reveals more of their attacks, allowing you to better counter them.

EDIT:
It seems like the amounts change depending on how much "info" you have.

Just defeated 5 of the starter enemies, and didn't get info. But I counted exactly before, and it was 5. The very first bits of Info might require even less, too. I might have to try and add up how much it takes to entirely learn a moveset of a given enemy.

Confirmed! Seems to take 6 enemies defeated later on.

Enemy Info Gathering:

Level 1 - Defeat 3 Enemies of the same type
Level 2 - Defeat 4 Enemies of the same type
Level 3 - Defeat 5 Enemies of the same type
Level 4 - Defeat 5 Enemies of the same type (enemies stop charging now)
Level 5 - Defeat 5 Enemies of the same type
Level 6 - Defeat 6 Enemies of the same type
Level 7 - Defeat 6 Enemies of the same type
Level 8 - Defeat 6 Enemies of the same type

Once you collect 8 pieces of Info, you will have the entire enemy moveset revealed. This adds up to defeating a single enemy type 40 times.

Enemy Patterns carry over into NG+. Making it much easier to play Caster on a second playthrough, for example.
