Sonic Chaos Powered

It seemed like the Echidna was really trying to make an effort to get onto better terms with them; White Glint definitely appreciated that. Though... At the moment, none of them had the opportunity to show that! The Witchcarters were an unexpected foe, and Tails seemed to be the only one here that recognized them. Still, she wasn't intimidated. There was no way they were worse than Infinite... And she survived an attack from him, so this should be easy!

So with that line of logic, one would probably have expected her to be surprised when Bearenger used some sort of dark energy to greatly weaken the effects of her Burst Wispon, and then using that board of his as a bat against both her and Tails... But she didn't expect them to go down THAT easy. Eggman rarely hired living beings, he opted for robots. Lots and lots of robots. Then the personal, piloted mechs. Anyone good enough to get a spot in Eggman's Empire and not be roboticised on top of that were worthy of note.

More focused on the present however, Glint was indeed forced back into the air from that Extreme Gear, though she suffered very minimal damage even with how strong he was; one very fortunate aspect of the type of attack she took was that it made you very, very difficult to damage. Still, it put her out of range... Or, did it? Because there was that brief instant as she was flying back from him that a wire shot out from her free hand. Her grappling hook.

It would latch around him in short order, and then Glint turned in the air. Next second, the cable snagged as it reached the maximum length. She felt that, and Bearenger probably did too. But that wasn't the end of it... She activated Boost, skyrocketing to her full speed all at a very respectable speed worthy of the name 'Sonic'. Even though she wasn't actually Sonic. It would likely happen so fast that Bearenger might not even be able to process what just took place before he was in the air. There was also the shockwave thrown out from her doing so, so everyone in the immediate vicinity would be feeling a nice bit of wind.

Meanwhile, Glint was swinging through on that momentum she built up to send him crashing straight into a building! Once he was already in that 'throw', she would release the grappling hook from him. Hopefully minimizing the chance that he'd be able to place any sort of counter on her. That was all assuming it went according to plan. But she WAS banking on him being too slow to keep up with her. Need to focus on your strengths, yeah?

"HOW ABOUT THIS?!", she then roared in response. If it did all play out as expected, then Bearenger would be slamming right into that building, tearing down the wall and likely causing the entire structure to collapse in short order. Oh, and that would most definitely be something you can hear and FEEL. White Glint might not have been a powerhouse under most circumstances, but she just made use of her speed to make up for that little fault, and with any luck she didn't leave herself open to counterattack!

"Your gonna beat me? Oh you are just SO cute! Were not the same as before honey... This time? This time your mine"

Oh he was just to cute, acting like he had any choice in the matter. She was gonna scorch, bag and bring him back home with her. He was just to nice a catch to keep with these resistence punks. No.... He didn't have a choice here, or a ghost of a chance!

"Awwww but I'm afraid I just need them more Tails, don't you know? Girls have a real mean streak when their wronged!"

Such a brave little man he was, charging at her despite the risk of her kiss. He dodged her attacks with valor- In fact he even got right up close to her in the end! However, she was the heroine here, the princess of this tale fighting for her prize, fighting for love..... And a slightly charred fox. Oh whatever point was she counted the fox with a hard kick of her own! Though it came close to sending her off balance she was able to kick the fox back and flip back onto her board before it got to eratic. What happened next was truly something out of a story book!  The evil fox came spinning at her once more... But a strong gust of wind would give her board powerful new lift to ride upon something she'd use for a trick to dodge her opponet, riding straght out of the way of his dash attack.

"Awwww you guys aren't a very effective team yet are you? Poor little fox, even as disfunctional as we are personality wise you know better than anyone...."

Carrotia would finish riding that wind right back down and produce new energy, but this time I'm her hands and not upon her lips, this energy taking the form of two purple carrots in her hand, which she tossed with fierce accrucy Tails way! Something she'd continue to do while riding around him, much like a hunter would it's pretty, these carrots caused focused explosions, and would blow as soon as they made contact with anything!

"That the Witchcarters are the most effective team unit in the Eggman Empire! Now dangers looming dear-it's coming soon, better watch or you'll be going boom!

Bearenger had indeed been caught off guard off guard by the grappling hook, though he tried to keep his foot down it would prove inevatible once Glint activated her boost-he was swung high into the air, brought useless against the wind. This would only serve to anger the Berserker further, in turn making him even more feral due to the dark energy coursing through him. When Glint attempted to let him go, he instead used his downward momentum to his advantage and grabbed ahold of the rope holding the hook and attempting to pull Glint straght down into the building with him! He lacked what he needed to avoid the building all together but he could at the least bring his for spiraling into it with him! Whether the hedgehog dodged this effort or not the resulting impact with the building would result in a massive cloud of dust blowing over their area of combat-resulting in quite the nice backdrop for their class. Bearenger gave a feral grin the hedgehogs direction, wounds now upon his body in clear display now-but the best himself seeming to have no intention of stopping.

"Most people just crumble from the first fist, but you... Your a little more tricky... But that just makes me want to crush you MORE, the 'commandos' of both our teams.... That means whoever wins this... Gets the edge for the rest... Heh well, prepare to be SQUASHED!"

The largely built fighter would pounce forth with his power packed punches, pumping even more energy behind them as he did so, because of this Glint would no longer simply have to worry about the punch itself, but the large shockwave coming from each one as well! On top of it all he just kept coming at her like a creature possessed, fast or no Glint would have to stay on her toes to avoid taking serious damage!

The wind also gave quite the visual backdrop to the conflict unfolding between Motet and Falke. In truth Motet knew their were similarties between them, as much as she hated comparing herself to the wild being. They were both unpredictable, wild in battle. Motet's combat was a bit more refined due to her time with Vaneera... But it was difficult to change to change something completely even with her sword in battle.

"Hahaha! Your gonna make suchhhh a good pincusion female knuckles! Say, shouldn't you be more durable? I remember you being more durable"

"Didn't I tell you to SHUT UP"

"Yeah, guess ya did but ya know, just don't really think your in a spot to be making demands of me haha!"

It had proven difficult for her to close the gap again with Falke. Those dark energy balls he made. He could fire them from any range he chose, even with her Chaos Warp it was difficult to land a good blow with that kind of defense. She had to think.... Observe her for as she was taught try to see past his weakness. But what...  What was it...?

Of course, he was crazy

The enchinda would dash forth, but this time she had a plan!

"Hey bud, Watch out Eggman's come to review ya!"

Falke gained a look of surprise as he turned back to view the non existent Eggman, though he noticed her approach and tried to turn back to face her into was to late, she had already closed the distanced and landed a hard left hook right on his jaw! Falke went flying back a bit and tumbled to the ground, but with anger he immeditly jumped back to his feet and glared Motet down.

"Grrr... You lier! What kind of good guy tries to use false words to win a fight?! Your despicable! I won't fall for it again!"

Motet had a grin on her face, she was getting into this fight now.... Which may or may not be a good thing for everyone involved!

"I told you, I was taught by the best on how not to be an idiot, now let's talk about the important part.... Your teammates seem to be leaving you behind!"

Uh oh. Bearenger had more of a reaction time than she gave him credit for, he managed very narrowly to grab onto that rope! That unfortunately meant she was coming along for the ride! All Glint could do right now was damage control; and perhaps a counter of her own... She was being pulled towards him, after all! "Oh, you want this up close and personal?! YOU'LL GET YOUR WISH!!"

That was a rather ominous warning... White Glint's next move was to curl back up into a ball... And then she performed yet another Boost, rocketing herself at an even more ludicrous speed -- And it was aimed right at Bearenger! It was a little tricky, but she could slightly correct her path if so needed... Luckily, her opponent did most of the work here for her, even though that was clearly not his intention. The end result of this collision, if it worked out, likely meant that both of them would be blowing STRAIGHT THROUGH the building, with Bearenger taking the brunt of the damage here! Both from her own attack, and from the building they were crashing through.

If successful, Glint would roll along the ground for a little bit after the attack, presumably freed from her opponent, and then she'd get back onto her feet... If he could still stand confidently and deliver a boast against her, then she'd find Glint grinning at him. "All the power in the world doesn't mean a thing if you're so easy to read! The only way this is going to end for you is laying in a pile of rubble, wondering how you failed so badly!"

Still... If their fight was far from over -- And it likely was, then she'd begin dodging his attacks through rapid movements. He kept coming at her, but if there was one saving grace here... It's that all of his swings were wild. They were fast, to be sure. But it was just like she said... Easy to read if you just paid attention. What was more concerning was the fact that each of his blows were throwing off a shockwave just like when she used her full speed! Damn he was strong! Glint couldn't afford to be lax in this situation, so she would adopt hit and run tactics!

With a practiced efficiency, she would swoop in just out of the effective range of his attacks, and just close enough for her Burst Wispon to work it's magic! Nothing like a flamethrower, right? "Let's turn up the heat!"

"Your gonna make me eat what dear? How uncouth. How exactly do you plan on....

Carrotia gave a gasp as she was cut off. The rabbit had been confident in Tails being unable to reach her. But what he had performed instead was a feint move. He had fooled her into thinking he was about to fall back down-then used the very same as her to send himself spiraling like a catapult! She tried to adjust her course, to again use the remaining wind to move her out of the way but.... It would prove futile! Tails was now using the same wind to fire his path, she couldn't avoid it so instead tried to brave the attack with her arms... Which of course had the effect of her being shot straght off her board and out of the influx of wind, in fact she had been hit so hard that she was tumbling like a stone agaisnt the hard ground, before finishing with a hard slam agaisnt a nearby crumbled wall! That... That did some damage she had to admit. He was... A lot stronger than she had given him credit for! She supposed that made sense though. She was always trailing and flirting with the cuties, but mainly the strong heroic ones like Sonic or Knuckles. She hadn't consider... The brains side. Her flirtations with Tails were mostly to tease him but now...

Nah, it was a shame but even if she wanted to... Well even besides that he had ruined the island plan. Cute or not, special or not-attrsction or not the little cutie simply had to burn for that, no ifs ands or buts. Now he was dashing at her once again, muttering such nonsense out loud! She was Carrotia of the Witchcarters! She would not be taken down here speciully by by him! She was in rough condition now but... She would win! She would summon more of her energy in the form of those carrots. If she slowed his momentum... Well he wouldn't be taking much in the dash he was in now but he could still try to avoid another assualt! She threw as many of the carrots as she could at his form as he came towards her in an attempt to slow him down. Then, as he got close he would try to leap tight out of the way! Unfournatly while she was talented on the ground as well, it wasn't anywhere near the extent she was on her board. Because of this she managed to dodge the full blunt of his assault-but he still got her right in the shoulder which sent her stumbling across the ground a bit again! This time however she balanced herself and started Tails down. He was really getting on her nerves! Why couldn't he just be a good little fox and accept her kiss! She would now rush forth attempting to engage him direct physical combat, throwing punches and kicks at the fox and everyone once in a while jumping back to fire off one of those explosive kisses!

"Your the one getting beaten today Prower! I'll make SURE of it!"

"Fail...? Me? That's some REAL big talk from a hedgehog that's about to be apart of the pavement!"

Glint's attack had been successful, and was in fact the reason for Bearenger's current physical condition. Yet... The towering bear was still standing before her with that same wild grin! He had obvisly taken a lot of damage in their exchange so far and yet... He was still ready for more! They entered what amounted to a combat form tag, both trying to get a hold of each other, But Glint being more successful at avoidence than the beserker. However that weapon of hers.... He had it down now! Ripping up a slab of nearby concrete he placed it between him and the coming fire, only a single word leaving his mouth as he did.

"Hit harder"

He would then try to take advantage of their now close proximity to land a powerful left hook right against her jaw! If hit it would like be enough to push her back quite a bit, but ether way he would follow up by throwing that big slab of concrete he had used as a shield right at her, then propelling himself forward to continue engaging her if she had managed to keep standing!

Falke was adapting, but she had managed to get into her zone. If one were to look they'd notice Motet in a wild position, one hand on the ground and the other holding her sword in a reverse grip. Though it looked similar to the wolf's their was also a purpose to hers. It was weird to any who looked because it was defently wild... But not feral. It was wild power given purpose, reason.

It was Motet hunting her prey, and that prey being defiant.

"Grrr... I'm not going to fall for your tricks anymore you stupid Enchidna! I've got your number now!"

Their was a cold, eary silence to Motet's voice now. Though not of cruelity simply.... Of a beast on the hunt. Of want for it's prey, to stalk and take them down.

"I don't need you to fall for anything wolf.... The one and only thing I need you to do is sit there, sit there, bleed and lose our little game"

Falke, even in his own state of insanity found himself containing a hard gulp at her words. But... He was the hunter here not this stupid Knuckles wannabe! He'd be the one taking her down!

But Motet was different, she always had been. But it was most prominent in the heat of an intense battle.

It was something the person upon that gravestone once knew well, it was something she herself tamed. Something she helped get to the effect it now had.

In battle Motet was a beast only one person had the chain to restrict....

And that person wasn't around.

So as they clashed bursts of energy could be seen as two wild beings fought across the bridge.

The only problem was one was a monster...The other was Motet

This guy... He just refused to go down, even when the odds were clearly against him! Well, it was time to show him that power didn't necessarily translate into an easy win! Even if that shield of his could block her flames... It had an extra effect. It gave her something to hop off of and get to safety! Even if he tried to go for a shield bash, she braced herself appropriately; already hopping off the ground and planting her feet against the concrete slab he appropriated. Shortly thereafter she'd kick off of his makeshift concrete shield and then fire off her grappling hook again to a nearby pole!

"One hard hit, coming right up!", she was already starting the spin with the cable hitting it's maximum length and her momentum going away from Bearenger. Though the separation would not last long, especially when she curled up into a ball once more... And as one could have expected, she performed yet another boost, each time she did that it was like firing herself out of a cannon! This one had a little bit more packed into it however, as she'd pull the grappling hook free when she committed to the attack on Bearenger, now behind him!

Even if he turned in time to use that shield, he'd find that she was spinning with such a fierce speed that she sounded rather akin to a sawblade. In time with that sound was a flash of blue light that surrounded her form. If the shield WAS used against this, he'd find that White Glint would hit it with such force that even the solid concrete would shatter from her attack! And there was nothing to stop all of that momentum from going straight at him! It was pretty clear that the better thing to do here was avoid the attack...

Not that she aimed to give him much time to do so, she was really using her speed for all it was worth! Yet again, she'd land on her feet if all went according to plan. This time she needed a moment to breathe... But she wouldn't take her eyes off of Bearenger either. He'd hopefully be sent skidding back a fair ways from her, so she could afford the breather... "Sheesh... Not even Eggman's best robots are this hard to crack!"

Assuming nothing had gone wrong even still, she'd just ease back into her fighting stance. "But... Like I said. All the power in the world won't help you if you can't even touch me."

"Grrr... Don't you mock me! This WON'T be like before! I'm not gonna let you beat me, not again!"

As she gave Chase to the fox he started throwing ROCKS at her! Some smacked her right in the face to! What he.... How dare he! Forget his cuteness! Dam preserving the body out of respect for the mind! No, no forget it! He wanted to be a child? She'd BURY him like a child!

"I told you.... Not to mock me!"

The Dark Gaia energy stopped being produced in her hands... And began spreading across her body, a Tails from another universe might recognise the change, though chances were unless he happen to have studied the energy 'classic' Tails was not familiar with what was overcoming Carrotia. The purple energy dyed her fur, pulsating and producing an aura around her! It was a side affect of using Dark Gaia's energy, something usually only readly apprant in Bearenger due to the others not easly becoming consumed in their rage.

But Tails had managed to bring that out

The girl irrupted with an more rapid speed towards Tails, he was probably getting the result he wants dbut... He'd have to act quick to captilize on it... Because Carrotia was gunning straght for his head!

Bearenger's rage was growing at the hedgehog before him, and with it the energy pumping out as well. Her assualt was working-at first. But the one mistake you shouldn't make when facing someone under the influence of Dark Gaia energy? Don't mock them, don't taunt them-or at least don't work them into a rage. Unfournatly for Glint she wound up with the Witchcarter quite famous for his rage in even normal situations! But the way this battle was going, and the large amount of damage she managed to inflict? It resulted a large purple aura around him-more fierce than ether Carrotia or Falke could produce! But it was also far more wild, and full of anger. When the spin dash came for him Bearenger did not not dodge it but instead held his hands out to catch the o coming attack! Of course the attacks force prevented him from simply blocking it or throwing her aside, instead it pushed him back through a great deal of the debris around them, indeed giving Glint the breather she needed-buy it was clear she wasn't quite out of the woods yet! It was also clear however that Bearenger becoming this enraged also meant he was getting close to the end of his rope! Never the less Glint would have to be careful in this race to the finish, as the energy Bearenger was putting out caused the debris around him to levitate and now when he charged upon her not only were the shockwaves his fists produced more lethel... But it sent the debris picked up flying right at Glint as well!

"Raaaawr! I... WILL....... CRUSH YOU!"

"Raaaw! WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO DOWN! JUST GO DOWN! JUST... Die already dammit!"

The two were clashing, wild. The same aura surrounding the other Witchcarters now possessed Falke as well. However in her current it wasn't something that phased Motet. In fact on her face was a smile...?!

"Awww what's wrong Falke? You seem scared. Why are you scared? It's just... A game. I promise you your going to be going to a much better place... A place where people like us can play all the games they want.....

That was the truly sad thing, she supposed. Where Vaneera had gone she could no longer follow. But on the other hand... She could still cleanse the world for her, of everyone and everything like Motet herself. It was something she'd enjoy... Every moment of.

So the two continued to clash like vicious animals upon that bridge, it was all a game to her. A game with no winner, a game she refused to lose and yet....

A game that kept her blood racing all the same

"...Right where I want you!!" He didn't anticipate the speed boost she got, but it didn't matter to him! His plan hadn't changed a bit, the rocks he was throwing now changed course, instead striking the already damaged underside of the bridge. ... And causing the entire thing to shake and crumble until finally the entire thing collapsed!! If Carrotia didn't change course, or hurry faster, she was going to get buried by the debris! Hopefully Motet would've been able to move as well. Still, if this worked, he'd take down Carrotia AND Falke in one move! It was the perfect placement!

"Take that!! That's what I think of you witchcarters!"

If all had gone according to plan, he and Motet both would now be clear to help Glint with the third and final opponent...Bearenger. He was definitely going to be the worst one for sure. Whatever that power was that Carrotia displayed, Bearenger definitely had it too, and there was no telling how far it'd push his already terrifying strength. He just hoped it wasn't too late to stop the berserker. He wasn't so bad before, but with this powerup...Tails had to be sure not to underestimate any of them, much less the biggest one. He could tell Glint could handle herself for a time, but if she didn't get some help soon, it could turn ugly. Bearenger definitely had the means to last in a battle of attrition. If she ran out of fuel then a fight like that would slip out of anyone's hands, even Sonic's!

Still, before he could help, he had to be sure the set up had been successful. He wasn't about to let his guard down and assume Carrotia had been caught by his trick. He wasn't going to risk leaving himself completely open to attack. He wasn't like those witchcarters after all! He eyed the destruction carefully, making sure that his target was down for the count, the rain falling made it all the more eerie a scene. She was definitely stronger with that power of hers. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility for her to just get right back onto her feet from a hit like that. Still...It was a heavy bridge, he just hoped it worked.

Somehow, and someway... Bearenger was able to defend himself against that attack! That shouldn't have been possible for someone made of flesh and blood, unless... Did he have something powering him up!? It took her a second to notice it, but in the brief pause in their battle... She was then able to spot it. It was that energy he used before! She didn't know what trick that was, or why it was so effective against her... But she wasn't going to let anyone get the better of her on her first mission!

As his aura flared to it's peak, Glint decided to put one of her own tricks into practice. You see, she was capable of more than just the spindash... Indeed, some might even recognize it as a technique that Sonic had used quite a few times before; the 'Super Peel-Out'. Something that let the user run in place, with such speed that it appeared as though they were forming a figure-8 with the blur from their legs. She only had one shot at this, and she needed to make it her absolute best!

Even as the debris around Bearenger began to float into the air, she didn't show any fear. Instead she glared at him, building up her speed to it's maximum! The ground beneath her began to char black, and smoke began to rise around her. "I think it's time I showed you why I'm called White Glint!!", she yelled back at him. And as he charged forward with his own attacks, which sent various chunks of rubble flying at her, along with shockwaves....

Glint suddenly shot forward like a rocket! She began to leap towards each piece of debris, kicking off of them and nimbly avoiding being hit each time! All of this was serving to bring her closer to Bearenger, where she could deliver her final attack! When moving at this speed, she certainly lived up to her name. She looked like little more than constantly moving white sparkles in the air. Unfortunately, for her opponent, he'd discover that it was something a lot more dangerous than that!

It didn't take her long to close the distance between them, she was above his full height! She was just in range for one thing however... A kick delivered from both of her feet, right into his face! This was probably going to send them both spinning through the air and toppling to the ground... That carried it's own risks. But Glint needed to end this once and for all!

"Stop acting like a child! Your not going to be leading me anywhere but right in your face!"

Carrotia was to blinded by her anger towards the fox, enhanced by the dark gaia energy to pay to much attention to her surroundings. She kept going towards Tails despite the rumbling around her. when which unfournatly meant she'd never quite reach her target before the first stones came tumbling down upon her! At first she thought it to simply be more rocks from tails, and tried to simply brush them off.... However that wouldn't work for long. A moment of clarity came as Tails moved out of the way. She looked above her... To see the bridge itself coming down! However as fast she tried to get out of the way....

It was simply to late, their was no time for another move

The stones came down and crushed her to the ground, in the end all that could be seen from the dust was Carrotia's head sticking out from the rubble, clearly she wasnt going anywhere. She barely kept herself from blacking out-long enough to say one thing.

"You... Got me.... Cutie"

Then she blacked out completely, Tails had gotten his victory! However despite that their was another concerning event going on among the rubble..... Motet held the form of Falke down to the ground.... With a blade pointed right at his neck!

"I told you to stop being afraid wolfy! Just relax... Relax and be released from this world... We're the same kind of monster so I'll be joining you there once I'm done here.... We can't join the heroes, the people that heal rather than destroy... That's a paradise we'll never be able see"

Tail's attack had crumbled the bridge Motet and Falke had fought on. This didn't stop their fight however, and they fought among the falling stones until evenually they all hit the ground... Motet had proved the more vicious fighter and ended up slamming a probe Falke to the ground... Leaving him unable to move... And on the postion surrounding mobians saw him now.

"W..what are you?!"

The smile had yet to leave her face, had this wolf not been listening? She did oh so hate people like that!

"Motet the Enchinda, Widow. I'm also the executer of my 'kind' monsters who play with people and life like it's a game.... Listen, I've already told you three times now, your going to a place your gonna love, Goodbye Falke the wolf,  I'll join you as well one day"

The blade would come down and.... Unless stopped that small area would become a lot redder!

A large boom was heard, as Bearenger was shot back by Glint's ultimate attack! In that final moment he had brought the full blunt of his dark Gaia powered energy to best against that sparkling attack but.... It hadn't been enough, which was now evident as he, and likely Glint as well had began soaring in the air, though Bearenger was the considerbly. Less awake of the two. The last thing he did, an attesment to his endurance, was him trying to reach out towards Glint one more time-before gravity began to pull them back down... Right towards where Tails and Motet were! Bearenger would slam hard amongst the rubble, though not hitting anyone on the way down... A fate Glint would share if she didn't catch her balance! However if she did.... Glint like Tails would get a full view of the situation between Motet and Falke, as well as the blade coming down!

Meanwhile Eggman's Base in the Artic, currently unknown location

A rather well built mobian walrus stood in the control center, addressing the results of those under his commands.

"How has the subject turned out?"

The man spoke with a gruff voice, as if dispointed in the result he was sure he'd hear. Yet still he had to receive the report, he was the leader here after all. Their had been much worse news than the fate of an enemy during his time here.

"Everything has gone smoothly, though it managed to take out the carrier containing Lord Eggman's moble robtizer... Escaping the fate itself was impossible. It has been sent to join the other Metel Series robots, to reenforce the other Egg Bosses forces"

The commander would sigh again, dispointed in the result as he had expected himself to be.

"She was angered more than anyone else by Sonic's death, she wanted to ensure it wasn't in vain. I suppose in a way she did and yet..."

He cut himself off, he couldn't allow himself to be caught up in the fate of an enemy. Their were other matters to discuss.... Which was why his focus changed to the green pronghorn before him, their was another report to address.

"Clove, what of the woman we found amongst one of the portals remnants?"

His fellow egg boss seemed no more eager to deliver the news than he had been to receive that report. They were loyal to the Eggman Empire, but that didn't make missions such as these any easier, still it had to be done, in the end.

"She has been locked in the Null Zone with the other 'threats' captured by the others. She will remain their until Eggman decides what to do with her.... As ordered"

"Good then I suppose.... The days operations have gone as planned.... Ah wait, what of Wendy's dispatch of the Witchcarters for patrol?"

"Well Tundra that's gonna take.... A bit longer to explain"

The man would raise an eyebrow in curiosity,  but listen to her partner anyway as the scene faded to black....

With a few final words, Carrotia passed out, safely ensuring she was dispatched. He was about to give off a sigh of relief...Until the dust finally settled and he saw what Motet was about to do. Panic definitely set in, he was the villain here, but...Killing him didn't feel like the right thing to do! It just wasn't in his nature, it wasn't what Sonic would want, either. He...He couldn't let her do it!! He didn't understand his next move, but without thinking, he dove at her, arms open, if he didn't miss his mark, he'd harmlessly smash into her, knocking her away before she could do anything.

"S...Stop!! Look at him! Can't you see he's already beaten?! We won! Give it a break, sheesh!"

He frowned at her. He didn't like Falke as much as the others, but he was clearly beaten as he just laid there. The other two were down for the count as well. Killing him would only make the other two MORE vengeful. In a way, they would spare themselves at least a LITTLE leaving him to fight another day. He just...Didn't want to see it happen.

"You said someone killed your friend!! Do you really want to be just like them? All you're doing is repeating a cycle!"

He got up to his feet and dusted himself off, looking to Glint. "...Let's just get out of here before they get back up."

He was pretty mad at Motet for that, it was obvious to everyone there, even if those were enemies he had a long history with, doing something like that to them...It went against everything he stood for! He waited for the other two to regain their composure before following along to the resistance HQ. He'd definitely be giving Motet the silent treatment for a while.

A thunderous boom echoed throughout the street as her attack hit it's mark! That... Definitely took a lot out of her, but she managed to pull out the victory against something as strong as Bearenger! She couldn't take the time to relax however, as it seemed like he was reaching out to her once more. Thankfully, he seemingly fell unconscious after that... But, that wasn't the end of all the problems either. White Glint was still soaring through the air at an impressive speed! She needed to brace herself and do this right...

Planting both feet on the ground, and bringing one hand forward, she managed to land properly and bring herself to a halt! She needed a moment to breathe after that... The dust was finally starting to settle, too. Now she just needed to help the other two! As Glint looked over, she noted that both Tails and Motet seemed to have everything wrapped up on their end. But... Wait, was she seriously going to kill that Wolf?! Looks like Tails was already acting of his own accord...

Which meant that Glint needed to act too, standing up straight and now breaking into another run, she'd focus on a different target! Her goal was to deliver a swift kick to Falke's head. Fortunately she was holding back, it was just meant to render him unconscious just like Bearenger and Carrotia. With any luck, Tails managed to stop Motet just in time! "Okay, we've beaten them! Let's just go. Something wasn't right with them, and I don't think it's right to kill them as a result. Besides, the more time we waste here, the more of a chance that the rest of Eggman's forces will come to investigate!"

She tried to add another voice of reason to all of this. "We need to get somewhere safe, and fast. Because we can't keep pulling out fights like this one after the other.", if everyone had been convinced that just leaving where they lie was the better option... Then Glint would begin leading the way to the Resistance HQ once more; obviously she would be keeping an eye on Motet however.

"Don't talk like you know! You don't! You don't know anything! Monsters like him... Like me... Like Infinate... We're why she's gone! A soul like hers.... Deserved so much more out of life. But she believed in a monster like me... And I failed her. I failed her. All monsters have to go don't you understand?! If we're gone... If we're all.... Gone. Then no one has to cry anymore. No one else will have to morn like I do"

As she addressed the pair, mainly tails any thought one might have had towards her ACTUALLY enjoying the end of this would likely be dashed if they looked at her face. The moment Tails had stomped her, she had become u able to co tinue hiding the emotion she felt, and it was shown in the sadness on her face. One more she had hoped if she could stay in that flow of battle... She could remove everyone one of her 'kind'

"If were left to brew... All we'll do is destroy... Even the things we love. Vaneera... Thought I was different... But I couldn't save her, now she's gone... Can't you understand that? The world would be better if we were all just... Gone"

She truly believed that. If monsters were gone, happiness could rain like the shower coming down upon them even now. She could create the world Vani had dreamed of. A world of peace. When Glint put in her own two senses she would give a simple nod, standing g to her feet, however..... What she said next was directed right at Glint

"You heard what I just said... Saw the way I'm prone to fight. I am.... No better than what your trying to stop, I can't... Protect Anything not even the one I loved.... Why would you want someone like that with you? Why would you want to bring a monster on your ride?"

Never the less, if their words were ones of acceptence, or words wanting her to continue with them, she would in fact do so, confused as she'd likely be. Though she would remind silent for the remainder of the way unless talked to. So many thoughts in her mind.... So many mistakes she wished she could correct.

And one person she wished she could have saved

Thankfully, despite all the interruptions, they were making their way out of the city! And at this pace, it wouldn't be too much longer before they reached the Resistance HQ. A safe place to rest and recover! All of them needed that, even if their injuries ended up fairly minimal... Still, not like she was going to show just how tired she was, either! More importantly... Motet was unloading a lot that was on her chest. "Look, I don't claim to know a 'right' way of doing things... It's pretty obvious that you have a lot on you, too."

Glint would begin her response. "And truth be told, I can kinda understand your viewpoint... If I was presented with the opportunity to go after a certain somebody, I'd probably want to kill them too.", she'd admit. Though tactfully avoid just who it was she would like to kill. "Still, you asked WHY we're taking a 'monster like you' along... The answer to that is simple. I don't think the world is black and white like you paint it."

She'd then look back at Motet with a grin. "And yes, it's not lost on me that I am literally black and white, and saying that!", hopefully, that would serve to calm Motet down and realize that there were no hard feelings. Then... Next up was Tails, and he had quite a few questions too! If he came through a portal, then that would certainly make some sense as to why he seems so lost... "Let's start with the easiest stuff then. Yeah, Knuckles is at the Resistance Base. He's actually our leader."

She would begin her explanation to the young Fox. "As for that ruby, I assume you mean the Phantom Ruby. Eggman has it... More accurately, the current General of his entire forces is making use of it; Infinite... But we'll talk about him once we're back at base.", she seemed a little more serious than usual there... But it seemed like she wouldn't dwell on that for now!

"Now... To address your other points. It sounds like you've managed to cross over to a different world, or at least, you've time traveled! Whatever the case may be, you need to know quite a few things... I don't know what happened to your Sonic and Knuckles. But as for OUR Sonic... He's... Gone." She wasn't sure how to really say that... Short of just saying it. Still, she wasn't sure if he was DEAD either. In that sense, she wasn't just trying to use 'bedside manners'.

"As for the Super Peel-Out... You see, I was always pretty fast. But once I joined the Resistance and went through training, I earned a codename. "White Glint". Even among the elite members of the Resistance, it's a pretty unique codename.", she'd continue the explanation. "Given your familiarity with Sonic, I'm sure you already know about his title as the "Blue Blur". I'll let you connect the rest of the dots. Since I had that speed and a lot of skills that I... Don't ever remember acquiring, I was put through something they called the 'Supersonic Training Regime'. I learned that skill and earned my title there."

Unfortunately, the pleasant conversation would soon be interrupted as the storm clouds then produced a bolt of lightning, and with it some thunder! Tails yelled out of surprise and then latched onto Glint! It shocked the Hedgehog, to say the least! "H-... Haha, it's okay little guy! See? We're already here!" , she'd then point out the entrance to the Resistance HQ. Rather hidden and tucked away... It had to be, given the state of their world.

"I don't think the world is black and white like you paint it"

"Uggh...."

Why now, of all times?

"Motet? You've gotta stop seeing the world so black and white"

"Vani I.... Mother raised me to be a weapon..... It's... All I've ever been it's only after we met that... Things changed... But... I'm still...

"No, your not a monster... Your 'Motet' nothing more, nothing less... Were in this together... Now come on, let's go show that edge show who's boss eh?"

"Vani...."

"Glint...."

The flashback ended as the words left her mouth, though likely gone unheard since they were currently running. Though one might notice the light smile now on her face fr the hedgehog's words. Very well then, it was decided. She would stay for now. Not for the resitence, not to protect Tails. She'd stay because someone cared. Because someone else.... Thought she wasn't a monster. She'd stay.... For Glint. She'd help her, because she.... Reminded her of Vani.

That is to say, she was a good person... She mattered

She didn't like the Resitence. She didn't think she ever could... But Glint. Glint she could appricate. She could get behind her.... Yes.

Yes it made her.... Smile.

Mention of Infinate however saw her becoming more serious, a noticable grunt escaping her lips. Infinate.... He had to go. She could understand their sentiment on most people. But him... He caused her death, he and her both. He had to go away, because he did the same to do many others as well. He had to fade away.

"He's the one, he... Has to go"

She doubted anyone could blame her for at least that much. He was one of the main reasons the world was the way it was. He caused to much pain to be allowed to keep going.... He HAD to be removed.

Something else she was curious on was a.statement Glint made, regarding skills she 'didnt remember aquiring' Was she... Like her then? Someone created for... Or maybe she had memory problems? Ether was a likely scenario, though she supposed she could just not want to talk about them to. Maybe.... No, she had no right to barge into her personal life.

What was more curious to her.... Was why she felt so weird seeing Tails latch on to Glint. J...jealous? N..no.... Mad? That didn't make sense. She barely knew Glint. Why would she be jealous of Tails touching her? Besides the fox was a child anyway and yet.... No she needed to focus. They were arriving at the HQ now. The Echinda remained silent, save for one word in Glint's and Tail's direction.

"Thanks I'm... Sorry"

What Glint ended up saying certainly seemed to get through to Motet. It wasn't the immediate recovery that the Hedgehog envisioned, but that was fine. As long as the Echidna knew that they were in safe company, that was enough... But it did help to see her smiling, too. Glint couldn't put her finger on why, but it felt right to see her smiling like that. More than just the usual want to help out people that need it, too... Though that wasn't going to last forever either.

It seemed like Motet had her own grudge against Infinite. "Yeah... But we can't touch him. Even with an army, he's just too strong, and considering I survived an attack from him...  You can be sure I'm not joking about that.", she didn't like admitting that. But they needed a plan. A really good one, and a lot more power than they had right now. It was going to take so much more than an army, too... In any case, Motet did end up apologizing for her behavior earlier. "Don't worry about it! We've all been through a lot."

Tails on the other hand, he was more optimistic about things! And seemed to hold some disbelief about Knuckles leading them. Glint led the way through the tunnels that didn't seem to hold any special purpose. "I know it sounds pretty hard to believe, especially with all the stories I've heard about him... But when things started going so bad, he really pulled things together. Silver played a pretty big role in that, too!"

Eventually, they'd make their way to one of the maintenance rooms. It didn't seem to be anything special, aside from being an unassuming storage area. "A lot of people hold your belief, Tails. In my case, I don't know if Sonic is alive or not... I do know for now, we'll need to fight without him either way.", with that however, she'd press a stone on the wall, and then a secret door would open, revealing passage to a much less decrepit structure within...

"Here we are, the Resistance Base! As for the Supersonic Training Regime... Maybe I should show you exactly what it entails before you go signing up for it! But before any of that, we need to introduce you both to everyone!", White Glint would take the lead once more, waiting for them both to enter. Then she'd press a button and that door would close. Now she could give them the proper tour. There was plenty of security here...

Pretty hi-tech, too! But their goal wasn't the barracks, the cafeteria, the armory or anything like that. It was the meeting room. White Glint had just finished her mission, and it was time for a full debriefing! The doors would slide open with a hiss and she'd enter -- Likely right along with Tails and Motet. There were quite a few people already gathered in the room. A table sat in the middle, there was a large monitor not too far away...

Then the people inside; Knuckles, Silver, Espio, Amy Rose, Vector, Charmy, and... Another member of the Resistance. Barby the Koala. Most everyone in the room expressed the same amount of surprise at the sight in front of them. And that was given form in one word... "Tails!?", and that prompted a blink out of White Glint. "So you already know him?"

Before that could really be addressed any further... That girl, Barby the Koala, had run over and hugged Tails, giving him a kiss on the cheek in the process! "I'm glad you're alright, Tails!"

Glint couldn't help but grin at that with her arms crossed. "Wow. First day at the base and you're already popular with a girl. Lucky you!"

Motet was.... Happy they understood. It made this so much easier. She knew they differed in some thoughts but... Being able to understand was enough. That being said Glint... Had survived him as well? That was another life he messed up! He had to be stopped... He had to be crushed. With Vani's sword... Motet would make sure of it!

"He.... I survived an encounter with him too but.... Only thanks to Vani. She sacrificed herself in my defense. It's only thanks to her I'm still alive now... I know I'm not strong enough just... I hate feeling so useless! I... I know we need more strength, your right..."

She'd shake her head. She was again In that distressed state. She didn't want to say the wrong thing again... Didn't wanna make ether of them disappointed.

"But him... I can't forgive him, you know? He killed.... The only person who ever cared, who ever loved me. I.... I have to make him pay"

If the subject dropped there however she would allow it to. She could appriciate their words and their reasons but... She had to do this. As for a response to talk of training on their way in....

"I would... Enjoy taking part, if you don't mind"

Then when everyone greeted tails with excitement she took the time to tap Glint's shoulder to get her attention.

"If you need me..... I'm gonna be just down the hall, it's been a long day and... I need some time. If anything important goes on that I need to know just call me, I'll be there in a flash!"

She didn't know why it was easier to be herself with Glint, but she could, as confusing as that was. Still despite that she... She just couldn't stay grouped around the rest of them, at least not yet. Besides that she... Just needed some time. She wouldn't defy any company this time, this wasn't her home after all. But she wasn't forcing it ether. If anyone did come down that hall later however.... They'd find the Enchinda singing a song, one she knew by heart. A song for her love.

"Can you hear me? The voice that is calling out to you..."



She couldn't help but wonder as well how Sticks and Blaze were doing. The last time she saw them was when they each departed for their part in the mission. Blaze and Sticks were to look for Sonic. Vaneera and her were to confront Infinate. Their side... Hadn't gone so well but... She hoped they were ok. Well Blaze was with them so... They had to be right? They were on the sea to, so they only really had one legion to avoid... still it was a worry. For now though she found herself caught up in memories of her love, ever since she met that pair it had been even more intense than usual.

So she continued on with her song

"Oh oh, so just because I'm cautious you don't want me at the Sea Tornadoes wheel?!"

"Sticks you tried to ram it right into one of Eggman's flagships! That's NOT cautious"

In response the badger puffed out her chest, obviously taking offense to the notion.

"Blaze that's what we heroes do! Speciully the ones like us that are separate from the main group of heroes! We have to constantly come within an inch of sacrificing ourselves, only to be stopped at the last minute"

Blaze gave a sigh, how had she been teamed with her again? Vaneera.... Or even MOTET would have been a more complementary teammate.

"Remind me why we're teammates again...?"

The badger simply nodded its head in a matter of fact way way, wasn't it clear enough?

"Oh that's even more obvious! See Vaneera and Motet are the 'star crossed, but tragic lovers' so they always have to be a team! Unfortunately..."

Sticks would take on a more dark tone to her voice, a serious look on her face as she looked dramaticuly towards the 'screen'

"Their also destined to run into unimaginable tragidies involving their villian, one will likely lose their memories and so a romantic, but also emotion driven story will commence! Their saving grace a single Ruby jewel..."

A dramatic pose, with her arm across her face would mark the end of Stick's 'break' Blaze would simply blink in response, confused before replying.

"You've been watching anime again haven't you?"

Sticks scoffed in response, crossing her arms.

"You said I could on Thursdays!"

And so their adventure across the sea continued.....

Glint then couldn't help but laugh at Tails's immediate reaction to Barby's greeting. "Never took you for the shy type! You certainly hugged me pretty hard earlier.", she teased. Fortunately, she wasn't going to be doing that for very long. And even more fortunately for the Fox, Barby wasn't going to keep holding him so tightly. Still, it was pretty clear that she was happy to see him...

But once things settled down a little... Glint couldn't help but be concerned about Motet, too. She said a lot of things back there, and preferred to be down the hall at the moment. She didn't want to meet everyone? Well, the Hedgehog wanted the Echidna to be involved in all of this... But she couldn't force her either. "I'll let everyone have their reunion. I want to go check up on our other guest."

Glint pardoned herself from the meeting room to check up on Motet. Just like the Echidna said, she hadn't gone too far off from the group. Just down the hall. And in normal circumstances, she'd praise Motet's singing ability... But just like back at that gravesite, it kept bringing back those flashes; Infinite, and his attack on her... Why did it keep popping up? She wasn't just going to mention it though...

It'd probably make her sound crazy. Besides, she didn't want to interrupt the song. Glint would just cross her arms and lean against the wall, listening to the song and falling deep into thought. She was trying to make sense out of this puzzle...

"Well, Tails -- Or "Miles", if you prefer. I'm not sure what happened out there. But this is the Resistance set up against the Eggman Empire. You already seem to know me, so I'll skip my own introduction.", Knuckles spoke in a calm tone of voice. He would then begin to gesture to each person in the room as he listed off their names.

Still, the only other person he then might recognize from the name would be Amy, and that was entirely dependent on just WHEN in the timeline he was sent into the future from! "I think we should go ahead and make ourselves comfortable; the Rookie shouldn't be too much longer."

"You have a good singing voice, Motet...", she'd then comment. She wasn't really sure how to break the ice on this conversation... The only thing the Hedgehog knew for sure was that it was time to head back to the meeting room, so they could all talk this through. "Hey, I don't blame you if you don't do so well with crowds... But let's get it out of the way, yeah? There's stuff you'll want to hear, I imagine."

She'd make her request, and hopefully the Echidna would play along with it. If she did, then they'd be making their way back to the meeting room in short order! And once everyone had settled in... Tails would then begin his information drop; and he certainly had a lot to go over! One of the most prominent facts was that he came from another timeline -- Which had it's own Phantom Ruby, and that ended up HERE. If that was true...

"Then we need to find it before Eggman does!", Knuckles then declares. "Ah... Right. Tails, I don't know if you know about his nickname yet. The "good doctor" Robotnik has taken to calling himself Eggman... So as you can imagine, the world is in pretty dire straits." He'd then elaborate.

Inevitably, the conversation turned to Sonic. Or rather, the possibility of MULTIPLE Sonics! Still... This was a pretty tough call. "... Believe me, I'd like to have Sonic back fighting alongside us. But he's been gone for six months. None of us have denied the possibility that he's alive -- But we don't know where he is either.... I'm afraid that extends to your Sonic and the other me too."

Glint then decided to chime in. "But if it's any consolation. A lot of portals opened up around the world too. We picked out the one that opened closest to us... And that's why I ended up finding you! Good thing, too. I'd rather not think about what would have happened with all of those bots roaming around, AND that strange trio we ended up fighting." She'd then point out, pausing for a moment. "Still, possibility is there. The Phantom Ruby definitely could have ended up here, along with your Sonic and Knuckles.... The bad news is, we have a lot of ground to cover, and a lot of nasties to fight."

With that, White Glint then turns her attention to Knuckles. "So, we need something more than what we have. The Chaos Emeralds were mentioned earlier... And we found one."

Knuckles certainly seemed to take the news well. "That's great! Then we just need six more and-"

But Glint would then break the news. "Unfortunately, it's out of power... And my friend here would like to keep the Emerald. Can we work with that?", she'd gesture to Motet when saying 'friend', if she accompanied the group of course.

Knuckles would then rub his chin as he pondered. "Well, it's certainly possible for multiple people to use the Chaos Emeralds... But without powering it back up, it won't do any of us any good!", with that, he'd look over at Motet. "The Master Emerald can power that thing up with no problem -- I just have a simple request to make as it's Guardian..."

For once, Knuckles seemed a bit more serious than his otherwise relaxed self. "Don't disclose the location of the Master Emerald to ANYONE. We've been using it to power the base and mask our location... And secondly... Allow us to use the Chaos Emeralds and their power when the time is necessary. In exchange, you can keep them and we'll help you find the rest."

There was the very real possibility that they'd need Super Forms soon enough... Knuckles had to hope that Motet was willing to play along with all this. "How does that sound? I'm not gonna extend this deal to just anyone; the Rookie is vouching for you. Plus, you helped bring Tails back... Even if it's a different Tails from the one we were expecting!"

Motet gave a light smile, a small blush appearing on her face at Glint's compliment. That was one positive thing people had to say about her she supposed, whether they liked or hated her. She could sing but.... Obviously the other parts of her overshadowed that. Or... For most it did. Tails and Glint seemed to forgive.... Or at least tolerate her for now. Glint made her feel good, and she wasn't sure but... She just had na aura simar to the love she followed before. It made her want to follow and trust Glint as well. she also... Seemed to understand, at least more than others did. For that.... She'd listen to her for now. She was a kind soul, one she felt like she could trust, even if she didn't much trust the group she was apart of.... She'd follow them to, because she trusted Glint. Tails seemed nice to, but she didn't blame him for having trust issues regarding her ether. She I'd... maul someone in front of him. But back to the subject at hand!

"Thank you, Glint. It's a song me and her made together. It's meant to be a duet, and it's true beauty comes when it's sung together. It... Has another purpose as well, and a promise But that's private, sorry"

She'd sigh at the next words. Glint seemed to have a good sense of her for some reason. She wasn't good in a crowd that was true, but it wasn't for your typical reason. She was... Or tended to be a very social person in the past, at her core. She just.... Well. Vaneera tamed her, that was the best way to put it. She tended to enjoy her games too much before then. It was because of that she just wasn't very well liked among citizens, loyal to Eggman or not. She was surprised really the Resitence didn't just flat out hate her already.

"I'm not but.... I trust you, at least. So I can deal with it Glint, let's go"

A thought to herself however, beyond that was 'I trust you not to let me hurt anyone to'

When they got back the enchdna remind silent through tails explanation. It wasn't that she didnt understand, she did. She merly didn't she had much room to say anything, even if she didn't anything she would have said had already been said she would however off a nod of encouragement to tails despite that, it wasn't much but... She didn't know what else to say.

Again she would remain silent as Knuckles talked to her, thought she did nod at Glint's assessment of her. She wouldn't have given up the emerald anyway but... It helped to have support in the matter. She would think the matter over in her head. It... Wasn't a bad proposition. She wouldn't have trusted them under normal circumstances but well.... These wearnt normal circumstance. As much as she wished she could have kept it to her small group.... Vani was gone, Sticks and Blaze were scattered, likely still focused on their mission. She couldn't do this alone.... And she had someone her here trusted.

"If theirs one thing we agree on.... Its trust for her, I trust her to. It's why I'm here now.... I... I agree with your proposition. My only condition is that I stay with her, and preferably 'not your tails' tails to. Aside from that.... I can agree to your terms, I will not tell anyone, and you can use them as well as me"

She rather.... Hesitently reached out her hand, though it would easly be calmed with help from the hedgehog beside her, though thoughts from Tails would help to. It was then a fox would run in from further in the base, a rookie like Glint-who had joined up shortly before her!

She would dash towards the group, stopping in front of Tails and Knuckles

"Fiona Fox reporting sir! You all were looking for the emeralds right? I think I might have a lead on one, actually! Also, I think our tech girl wanted to have a chat with you when you get a chance. Oh and my mission, complete success! That Outpost won't be bothering anyone anytime soon!"

The girl was obviously proud of her accomplishments, maybe to much so, she gave a confident nod at her report and listen to a response from her commander.

First, he'd accept the handshake with Motet. It seems like she was willing to play along with this! That was great to hear. "Perfect! Then we have a deal. I'll get that thing powered up for you in no time! Better get ready for it, a fully-powered Chaos Emerald is quite the handy thing to have.", and after addressing that point...

Knuckles would chuckle (but unlike Sonic) at what Tails had to say. "Right? But that's what he calls himself, and the name has stuck.", he'd state. Then turning his attention to Fiona, another rather new Rookie on the scene. But she was already earning her colors and stripes at this rate. "Wow, an outpost cleared and you have information on a Chaos Emerald? This is perfect timing! We just got a Chaos Emerald, so that will make two!", he then pondered for a moment.

If the 'tech girl' was asking around... That meant Deadeye wanted her usual reports on everything. "Got it. I have something to take care of first, though. That Chaos Emerald unfortunately lacks power, so it needs to be restored first...."

It seems that Tails had his reasons for wanting to immediately find Sonic, and she couldn't blame him. But when he wanted to break off on his own, she would intervene by catching up to him and grabbing his shoulder gently. "Hey, hey. Hold on! Just hear me out.", White Glint would try to reason with him.

"Look. I get that Sonic is important to you... But do you have a way of tracking what portals have opened and where? Do you have people that can give you intel on the world around you? Do you have any safe places to stay, or anyone to watch your back? And finally, do you have any guarantees that you'll run into Sonic, and not something else?", she'd begin to explain her reasoning.

"I'll level with you, Tails... The Resistance has all of this except for being able to tell where Sonic is. And from the stories I've heard, he's not the type to stay in an area for very long. If he came here at the same time as you did, there's no telling where he ended up.... Yeah, no guarantee we'll find what we're looking for either. There's no way to tell what we're going to run into from your world.", she continued.

"We're also prepared to fight without Sonic... But that doesn't mean that we don't care. And if it will help put you at ease to stay here, then I'll do everything I can to help you find him!", Glint then states with a grin. "'Course... I don't really know any tricks to find someone in all this mess, even someone as high profile as Sonic. But I'll do my best."

Knuckles would smile lightly and nod. "Well said, Glint... We're all trying to help each other out here. But it's not going to be easy... Just take a look at that screen.", he'd point at the large monitor in the room, currently displaying a map of the world. Right now, it was all painted red. Save for a very small space which was blue. Safe to assume that was the Resistance Base. "Eggman controls all of that. You'll run into patrols, outposts, full on fortresses... Not across every stretch of land. But most of it. If we want to reach any of those other portals, we need to be able to clear a path first."

The Echidna then explains. "I'm not exactly keen on sending small squads deep into enemy territory either. It lessens the possibility of them coming back home safely, and even less chance of an extraction if something goes wrong. We need to do this right... Because it's the last chance we have."

Knuckles would then shake his head lightly. "Enough doom and gloom, though. Let's get that Chaos Emerald over to the Master Emerald... Tails, you're welcome to come along."
