A Scarlet Noble's Life

A familiar story within Gensokyo. Outsiders were a common occurrence. Two such Outsiders considered themselves "living the dream". They knew about Gensokyo before ending up in it, and now that they were here, well... At first it was rather frightening, but then, it was simply exciting.

The first order of business was finding a home, there was the obvious place within the Human Village, but... At least one had a different idea. The Scarlet Devil Mansion was his target.

And so, after a brief travel, he found himself at the Gates. The sole obstacle between him and what he had always wanted to see... Thankfully, it was no great obstacle. There was no fire-breathing Dragon, or Black Knight that wielded a blade with amazing skill.

No, it was just a Youkai that guarded the Gates, and fortunately for him, this Youkai was exceedingly friendly towards Humans, at least normal ones.

I approached the the Youkai that was guarding the gates. A tall woman with long red hair, in a green outfit. Her hat had a star on it.

I knew she was friendly towards Humans, but I still needed to show great respect. So I made sure to bow to her. She returns the bow.

Greetings, I would like to enter the Mansion to speak to your Mistress, Remilia.

Oh? May I ask why?

Certainly, we wish to be of use to the Mistress of this Mansion. We're new to this land and we're seeking out opportunities.

Outsiders, hm? Well, the Mistress does often say that she is bored. Perhaps you can provide some entertainment for her. I'll let you enter.

She opened the Gate for us, and I continued passed the Gate.

I entered the Mansion alongside him. The Foyer was... Impressive, to say the least. Better than I could have imagined it, in any case. The hallways seemed to stretch on forever in each direction.
